Hollow Rods

We produce Hollow Rods in Round, Hex and Square shapes which we can offer to our customers to reduce the production costs. Standard shapes of hollow bar are available which often proves to be a more cost-effective choice for the manufacture of hollow components. Although hollow extrusions cost more per unit weight than solid bars, this is frequently offset by saving in drilling and reduction of swarf. Using modern production techniques the eccentricity of hollows is minimal. Circular hollow have very efficient shapes for this multiple-axis loading as they have uniform geometry along two or more cross- sectional axes, and thus uniform strength characteristics. Brass hollow rods offers significant economic advantages by way of removing the need for drilling operations and very often the boring out of the parts. Numerous applications and in particular for making of taps and valves (plumbing-heating industry).

It also comes with higher fatigue resistance, and is suitable for service at high temperatures. As these hollow rods are highly resistance against corrosion and high in strength they are used for making marine components and sanitary parts.
